Pressure & Silicone in One!
Pressure garments have been a standard of care for the treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids for many years. More recently, silicone sheeting materials have found a useful role in the solution to this challenging problem. Now, through a revolutionary technological development, Silon-TEX allows for the use of both of these techniques in a single step.
Silon-TEX is a soft and pliable textile fabric with a durable layer of silicone on one side. The product can be custom formed into various garments. It is comfortable and completely washable, and since the silicon layer is comprised of the patented Silon-IPN Interpenetrating Polymer Network, it lasts for months of use without replacement. Small rolls are available for point-of-care use, or custom pressure garments with prefabricated sections of Silon-TEX can be ordered.
